DBBlobEditor 8.5 Released: Table Filter, Pause/Resume & Better Logging

September 15, 2026 — Withdata Software announces DBBlobEditor 8.5, a cross-platform desktop tool for viewing, importing and exporting BLOB / CLOB data. This release adds a table filter and new object tree actions, Pause / Resume for Lob import, a more reliable Lob import and export, and a new “Log and Notify” section.

What’s New in DBBlobEditor 8.5

1. Table Filter & Object Tree Actions

A filter box now sits above the database object tree, so a table is easy to find in a large database. The object tree menu has also gained Copy Table Names, Export DDL and Drop Selected Tables, so common tasks no longer need a trip to another tool.

2. Pause / Resume and a Safer Lob Import

The Lob import can now be paused and resumed. Under the hood it is also much more forgiving: a busy database or a lost connection is waited out on a fresh connection, and an insert is not done twice. The Lob export stops cleanly on a lost connection and tells you to run it again, instead of leaving the output in an unknown state.

3. Logging, Notifications and Smaller Fixes
