This video shows how to export data from Oracle query result to Excel file in a few clicks with Withdata DBToFile, or with the free Export Oracle query result to Excel online tool. It covers the oracle query side and the Excel side.
This shows how to run a SQL query against Oracle and write the result straight to an Excel workbook — a common way to hand a report to people who work in spreadsheets. The video above is the full flow; the notes cover the Oracle-specific parts.
SELECT — you can filter, join and aggregate here rather than exporting a whole table.NUMBER can hold far more digits than a spreadsheet; values beyond 15 significant digits may be shown rounded, so cast to a string in the query if the exact value matters.DATE always includes hours/minutes/seconds; set the cell format if you only want the date.TIMESTAMP and TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE are written as datetimes; the offset is preserved as text when the cell format cannot hold it.AS ...) in the query so the spreadsheet headers stay distinct.CLOB is written as text; BLOB/RAW have no cell equivalent and are written as text or skipped.SELECT that returns rows.Prefer a browser-based tool?
