September 30, 2026 — Withdata Software announces BillSight 1.0, a cross-platform desktop tool that extracts invoice data from PDF and e-invoice XML. This is the first release: it reads the standard fields and line items, lets you check the reading and fix it by hand, remembers a correction as a rule for that supplier, and exports the result to Excel, CSV or UBL.
What BillSight 1.0 Does
1. Extract Invoice Data from PDF and E-Invoice XML
BillSight reads invoice data from PDF and from structured e-invoice XML — including Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, UBL and CII. It pulls out the standard invoice fields and the line items, so a folder of documents becomes data you can actually work with.
2. Read the Standard Fields and Line Items
For each invoice, BillSight shows the standard fields and the line items it read, so you can see exactly what came out of the document before you use it.
3. Check the Reading, and Fix It by Hand
Automatic extraction is never perfect. BillSight lets you check the reading and correct a field or a line item by hand, so the data is right before it goes anywhere.
4. Save a Correction as a Rule for That Supplier
When you fix a field, BillSight can save the correction as a rule for that supplier. The same invoice layout is then read correctly next time, instead of being corrected again every month.
5. Export to Excel, CSV, UBL or Line Items
Export the invoices you have read to Excel, CSV or UBL, or export just the line items. Export templates can be saved, so the same output layout can be reused for the next batch.
6. Keep a Copy of Every Original
BillSight keeps a copy of every original document, searchable by invoice number, supplier or file name — handy when you need to check a document months later.
7. Process a Folder in One Go, or Script It
Point BillSight at a folder and it processes the invoices in one go; or run it from the command line, for scheduled and automated workflows.
