Streamed converters read the file in chunks, so it never lands in memory and the limit can be much higher. Whole-file converters read the file at once — Excel workbooks, RDF graphs, and anything that writes Excel or XML — so their limit stays lower. Merge and split have their own limits above; splits are capped at 100,000 parts for everyone (a browser safety limit).

Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every converter, merge and split tool is free and needs no account — free simply covers the limits in the table above. A membership raises them.
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. Every conversion runs in your own browser, so your files never leave your computer. We only record an anonymous usage event (which tool, which page, your browser) — never file names or file contents. See our Privacy Policy.
Can I subscribe for just one month?
Yes. Cancel any time from your account page; your membership stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not renewed.
What happens if my file is bigger than the limit?
A membership raises the limits (see the table above). For even larger files, batch conversion or scheduling, use the desktop Data File Converter, which has no size limit.
Who processes the payment?
Checkout is handled by FastSpring on their own secure servers. Your card details are never sent to us and we never store them.
